About

I have been playing the Violin since the age of 6. I began lessons after my grandparents had brought me home a plastic toy Violin from Sturgeon Falls Fiddle and Step Dance Competition. They told me that if I could learn a song on the plastic toy they bought me, they would buy me a real Violin for Christmas. They were probably joking at the time. Within the hour I was playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star... Thus began the adventure! They got me a real Violin for Christmas that year and began lessons not long after with Cindy Thompson.

I went on to Compete in many competitions by age 7. From my hometown in Penetanguishene to Chelmsford, Sturgeon Falls, Shelburne, Tavistock and some local talent shows and nursing home 'Pub Nights' I kept busy and met a lot go great people along the way... with some practice and some fun I went on to win the 9 and Under Canadian Fiddle Championship in Shelburne 2004 along with 1st Prize at Sturgeon Falls Fiddle and Step Dance Competition. I was also fortunate to receive a 2nd Place in Tavistock and Chelmsford that same year. From there by age 10, I went on to take lessons in Midhurst from a Mr. Lloyd Preston, he taught me the real roots behind a good good ol' fashioned fiddle tune... And he never left out a history lesson or two about the Great Graham Townsend in the process.

I will be 26 this year and still find joy and excitement to this day when I pick up my fiddle. I am very much looking forward to brining Fiddle Music back to town!
